Read more about the work we did for Strukton
For Strukton Immersion Projects several short and quick jobs were done.
Over the year 2020 a total of 8 short-notice projects were executed. For a new lock project, the expertise of GTS was required to place strain gauges on the steel structures so Strukton Immersion Projects was able to monitor and control the forces in the steel structures used to stabilize some of the concrete walls.
Another series of strain gauges were placed on site for the new build project of a tunnel under the Maas river close to Rotterdams port entrance.
The last project with Strukton in 2020 was the fabrication of weldable strain gauges. We decided to use slabs of steel and glue the strain gauges in the workshop. The steel slabs could be welded later on onto the steel girders. During the welding process the temperature at the straingage was verified.
